Cast Member

City Year seeks Ameri Corps Members to serve full-time in public schools, supporting students' academic and social-emotional growth. In this education-focused role, you'll provide tutoring, mentor students, assist in classrooms, and lead small-group interventions. You'll collaborate with school staff and a diverse team to create a positive learning environment. City Year offers comprehensive training, leadership development, and exposure to education and youth development careers in a mission-driven, inclusive culture dedicated to advancing educational equity.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small-group tutoring in core subjects during and after school
• Support classroom instruction and behavior management in partnership with teachers
• Build positive relationships with students to encourage attendance, engagement, and growth
• Collect and track student data to monitor academic and social-emotional progress
• Assist with planning and leading school-wide events and initiatives
• Participate in regular training, coaching, and professional development sessions
• Collaborate with a diverse team of Ameri
• Corps members and school staff
• Communicate regularly with supervisors regarding student progress and service goals
• Model positive behavior aligned with City Year's values and school expectations
• Support family and community engagement activities as needed
