At Value Added Distributors, we're seeking a full-time Project Estimator to join our expert team in Chambersburg, PA. You'll be part of a company with a 25-year legacy of innovation and outstanding service in the hydraulic components industry. You will work a consistent schedule, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm at our Chambersburg location.

As a Project Estimator, you will collaborate closely with the quoting team, sales, and customer service to evaluate project costs and potential risks, ensuring accurate timelines and budgets for clients. You will review customer blueprints and project specifications, analyze requirements, and use your mathematical skills to calculate costs for materials, labor, and equipment. You will obtain quotes from vendors, update customer price lists, and set up parts and kits.

Throughout the project, you will monitor expenses, assess risks-including health and safety requirements-and adjust estimates as needed to address changes in materials, equipment, or project scope. You will prepare detailed proposals and estimates for clients and senior management, all while ensuring that every detail is accounted for in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Your work environment will range from climate-controlled office spaces to manufacturing areas that may require personal protective equipment.

Here's what we need from you as a Project Estimator:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and the ability to learn estimating software such as Epicor
• Ability to type 35+ words per minute
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Mathematical aptitude for calculations and financial analysis
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Experience in estimating, project management, or industrial manufacturing projects (preferred)
• Proficiency in mathematics, statistics, and data analysis (preferred)
