Our client, an industry leader in food manufacturing, is seeking a Packaging Machine Operator to join their team. As a Packaging Machine Operator, you will be part of the Industrial department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong teamwork skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure, which will align successfully in the organization.
We have season machine, processing machine and packaging machine positions available!
Job Title: Packaging Machine Operator
Location: Chambersburg, PA
Pay Range: $18 to $20 an hour
Shift: 2nd and 3rd shifts available
What's the Job?
- Operate packing machines efficiently, ensuring proper weight, seasoning, and product quality
- Prepare machines for production runs and make necessary adjustments to meet quality standards
- Change film rolls, formers, and adjust scale programs for optimal product flow
- Inspect finished products for defects and verify packaging accuracy, including labels and date codes
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment and work area, adhering to safety and food safety standards
What's Needed?
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in machine operation or food handling
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
- Willingness to work 12-hour shifts and follow safety protocols
