Advanced Practice Provider - Newborn Nursery

Nurse Practitioner

Join a collaborative team caring for infants in a newborn nursery with an average daily census of 18-20 babies, providing comprehensive neonatal assessment and management. The position offers an 8-hour day shift schedule with a weekend and holiday rotation, providing a predictable work-life balance in a hospital-based setting.

Responsibilities include performing comprehensive newborn care responsibilities, including daily rounding, admissions, triage, history and physical examinations, care plan development, discharge planning, and family education. You will also provide specialized neonatal procedures, including intubation, umbilical line placement, arterial sticks, and IV insertions, while delivering evidence-based care to newborn patients. Additionally, you will collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality neonatal and newborn nursery care.

You will conduct prenatal consultations and support families through education, care coordination, and transition-to-home planning.
