The company seeks a Payroll Specialist to support company‑wide payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, reporting, and compliance with internal and external requirements. The role reports to the Finance Manager and assists with payroll, grant cost allocation, budget monitoring, and annual audits, collaborating with program and finance staff to maintain proper documentation and policy adherence.

The Payroll Specialist supports the company wide payroll processing ensuring accuracy, reporting, and compliance with internal requirements and external regulations. Responsibilities include payroll processing, grant cost allocation, budget monitoring, and annual audits.
Duties and Responsibilities- Prepare and review biweekly payroll
- Work with supervisors on payroll and timesheet related issues
- Assist with annual PTO front loading
- Respond to payroll‑related emails and inquiries
- Assist in managing benefit administration
- Manage Paylocity updates and support Paylocity training
- Assist in annual Workers’ Compensation audit
- Assist in annual 401(k) audit and distribution/loan requests
- Assist in annual financial audit and insurance renewal
- Partner with Human Resources for status changes and updates
- Prepare organization payroll allocation for grant reporting
- Coordinate expense reimbursements
- Maintain payroll processing and expense reimbursements
- Assist in annual audits for the organization
- Maintain confidentiality and support Finance Department’s efficiency
- Perform various accounting, payroll, and HR related tasks
Skills and Abilities
- Handle conflict and crisis professionally
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced computer knowledge, especially MS Office; ability to learn new software
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills
- Working knowledge of public health and preventative care guidelines in oral health care
- Prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
- Flexibility to meet changing needs of the Center
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
- High School diploma
- At least 2 years of experience in Human Resources or Payroll
- Knowledge of Paylocity software (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of software
