• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Description:

Mercy Care provides family-centered pediatric primary healthcare for children and adolescents up to 18 years of age. The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) will support pediatric providers in delivering high-quality care to a primarily underserved, Spanish-speaking migrant population. Responsibilities include assisting with patient flow, performing clinical and administrative duties, and supporting providers with both acute and chronic pediatric care.

The CMA will work closely with a multidisciplinary care team from Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta to ensure comprehensive, compassionate, and culturally competent care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist providers with pediatric patient intake, rooming, and vital signs
• Perform age-appropriate screenings and document patient information
• Support diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic pediatric conditions
• Administer injections and medications as directed (per scope of practice)
• Provide patient and family education and support
• Maintain infection control and clinic safety standards
• Support clinic workflow and patient scheduling as needed

Requirements:

• 2+ years of current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) experience in a Pediatric Clinic setting (within last 3–6 months)
• 2+ years of pediatric clinic experience
• Active CMA Certification (NHA, AMT, or AAMA)
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification
• Bilingual in Spanish – Highly Preferred
• Previous travel experience – Preferred
• OCHIN EPIC EMR experience – Highly Preferred
