Pediatric Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist

Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 12 months of travel experience is required.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
• Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• No current placement allowed at Program: HWL Program - CHOA.

Pre-employment modules may be required for this role.

Additional Details:

Must be up to date on current COVID 19 vaccine requirements. Must be before start of assignment.

Nicotine Free Facilities
- Negative Drug test w/ Nicotine required.

Required Skills/

Experience:

- 2+ years experience - pediatric experience required.

- Candidates must have recent pulmonary function test (PFT) experience.

- Must be proficient in performing pulmonary function tests.

- Extensive critical care experience in PICU, NICU and ED required.

Preferred Skills/

Experience:

- Level 1 Trauma experience preferred; will consider level 2.

Unit Details:

- Outpatient setting.

- Breeze software experience strongly preferred.

Shift & Scheduling:

- Monday through Friday.

- Every other weekend required.

- No call.

Floating Requirements:

- Float position for outpatient facilities.

- Must also float for assignment in ICU, ED, and general pediatric care areas.

14 days maximum time off

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
