About This Role

Gallo Legal Services is hiring a Director of Legal Video & Trial Services to build, scale, and lead our video and trial services division. This is not a senior videographer role. This is a division leadership position for someone who turns ideas into revenue‑producing services and builds the systems, standards, and teams to deliver them at scale.

You will own the full lifecycle — from identifying new service opportunities to launching, pricing, staffing, and operationalizing them. You will be measured on services launched, revenue generated, operational reliability, and team performance.

This is the right role for someone who builds things, enforces standards, and does not wait for permission to act.

What You'll Own Service Creation & Expansion

You will build and launch revenue‑producing video and trial services, including but not limited to:

  • Trial presentation services
  • Day‑in‑the‑life videos
  • Remote and hybrid deposition video products
  • Litigation technology support bundles

For every service launched, you are responsible for delivering: clear service definition and scope, pricing models that support margin and scale, equipment and staffing requirements, SOPs and checklists, training plans, go‑live readiness, and ongoing iteration based on feedback.

Operational Ownership

You will own video workflows from scheduling handoff through final delivery. You will identify and eliminate recurring friction points, ensure equipment readiness and redundancy, and build repeatable processes that scale with growth. The goal is to reduce reliance on heroics and individual workarounds.

Team Leadership

You will lead, train, and hold accountable a team of legal videographers and technicians. This means setting expectations clearly, holding firm lines on quality and preparedness, building bench strength, and addressing underperformance directly and immediately.

Accountability & Standards

You are the final owner of video quality, on‑time delivery, trial‑level readiness, and SOP adherence. When standards are missed, you own the corrective action — including direct feedback, escalation, and removal from assignments when necessary.

Internal Marketing Execution

You will own execution of internal marketing video projects in partnership with the Marketing Manager. The Marketing Manager defines the strategy. You own production, delivery, and follow‑through.

What This Role Is Not

This role is not a senior videographer position, a creative director role, or a broadcast‑style production lead. Hands‑on video and trial knowledge is required, but execution leadership matters more than camera work.

Your First 90 Days

Days 1–30: Learn existing services, workflows, and pain points. Shadow operations. Identify the top three execution failures. Propose a service and operations improvement roadmap.

Days 31–60: Fix at least one broken workflow. Formalize standards and SOPs. Pilot one new or restructured service. Begin training videographers to the standard.

Days 61–90: Launch at least one new service offering. Demonstrate improved accountability. Reduce escalation load on leadership. Show measurable gains in reliability and execution.

How Success Is Measured
  • New video and trial services are launched, adopted by sales, and generating measurable revenue
  • Fewer quality escalations and improved on‑time delivery
  • Reduced dependency on specific individuals
  • Missed standards are addressed immediately; underperformance does not linger
  • Leadership does not need to step in; problems are surfaced early and decisions are made without hand‑holding
What We're Looking For
  • 2+ years of leadership, team management, or division‑building experience
  • Demonstrated experience building or scaling a services operation — not just managing an existing one
  • Hands‑on knowledge of professional video, audio, and trial technology equipment or willingness to learn
  • Comfort managing fast‑changing schedules and time‑sensitive, high‑stakes work
  • Someone who takes charge without permission, moves from idea to execution quickly, and does not require consensus to act
Why Gallo
  • Growing, modern legal services firm with strong leadership and a track record of innovation
  • Real opportunity to build and shape a division — not inherit someone else's structure
  • Competitive compensation and benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and disability insurance
  • Long‑term growth and stability
