Location: Chamblee, GA
Schedule: 2–5 days per week (not guaranteed
5), daylight hours (7:00 AM – 6:00 PM), 10–40 hours weekly

We are seeking an experienced Distribution Quality Inspector with a lineman/powerline background and 10–15 years of industry experience
. This role is instrumental in ensuring the safety, compliance, and reliability of distribution systems
, including power lines, substations, and related equipment. The ideal candidate will bring extensive field knowledge, a strong understanding of the National Electric Safety Code (NESC), and proven expertise in quality inspection, safety oversight, and mentoring.
Quality Inspections: Lead inspections of power lines, transformers, substations, and distribution assets to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
Safety Oversight: Enforce safety practices, conduct safety audits, and initiate team training programs.
Defect Identification: Identify and document defects or non-compliance issues; recommend corrective actions with severity assessments.
Testing & Measurement: Operate advanced diagnostic and measurement tools for in-depth evaluation of distribution assets.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate inspection records (photos, measurements, test results) and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders.
Collaboration: Partner with maintenance and operations teams to schedule and prioritize corrective actions.
Regulatory Expertise: Stay up to date with NESC and utility regulations; ensure strict adherence across all activities.
Continuous Improvement: Analyze inspection data to drive process improvements and system reliability enhancements.
Mentorship: Provide training and guidance to less experienced inspectors and field staff.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s in a related field preferred).
Experience: 10–15 years in utility distribution quality inspection, powerline/lineman work, or related field.
Technical
Skills:Expertise in distribution systems, substations, and electrical equipment.
Proficiency in testing and diagnostic equipment.
Strong defect detection and reporting skills.
Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of industry standards and NESC regulations
