Senior Accountant

Our partner is PE-backed and focused in the transportation industry. They've engaged Katalyst to hire a Senior General Ledger Accountant who will support the core accounting function across multiple operating entities. This role partners closely with the Controller, driving month-end close, reconciliations, and financial accuracy, while supporting process improvements and system enhancements (Net Suite).

• Execute the monthly close process, including preparation and posting of journal entries across accruals, fixed assets, leases, and payroll
• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to close timelines
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances
• Own key subledgers, including fixed assets, leases (ASC 842), and intercompany activity
• Support audit and tax processes through timely and accurate preparation of requested documentation
• Utilize and support ERP systems (Net Suite), while identifying opportunities to improve processes and reduce manual work
• Partner closely with the Controller to address accounting issues and support a clean, efficient close environment

Targeted salary range: 70-90K
