Christie Clinic's department of Internal Medicine is seeking a full-time Scheduler/Receptionist at the Windsor clinic in Champaign from Monday-Friday 7:00am-4:00pm, with no night or weekend requirements.

Duties include checking patients out and scheduling appointments/testing after their visit with their provider. The scheduler will also serve as a liaison between patients and medical support staff.

JOB DUTIES:

(This list may not include all the duties assigned.)Greet patients and visitors in an efficient, professional, and courteous manner.

Fill out radiology screening forms.

Act as a liaison between Internal Medicine and other Christie Clinic departments to refer patients to specialized providers.

Schedule/place orders for tests, labs, appointments, etc.

Attend and participate in monthly department meetings.

Schedule for incoming Nephrology referrals.

Demonstrate the ability to promptly answer a high volume of phone calls and schedule patient appointments with providers.

Accurately document conversations/requests from patients in the EMR and route appropriately.

Verify and update necessary demographic information and insurance information.

Maintain provider schedules.

Contact patients in the event an appointment must be cancelled.

Maintain an organized work area. (Filing patient orders, routers, etc.)Perform related work as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Demands include sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Hearing within, or correctable to, normal range, vision correctable to 20/20 and manual dexterity for the operation of office equipment is required.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is performed in the exam room and involves frequent contact with patients and exposure to communicable illnesses. Requirements may include working irregular hours.

The estimated pay range for this position is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related criteria.
