The Role

The purpose of this position is to oversee and manage the recertification process for residents participating in the Low‑Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program. This role is key to ensuring that residents maintain their eligibility and that their information is accurately processed in accordance with program regulations. Responsibilities include conducting annual recertifications, completing income calculations, maintaining files, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
  • LIHTC/Tax Credit program experience required.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex documents such as regulatory agreements and compliance regulations, tenant files, etc.
  • 2 years of affordable multi‑housing experience.
  • Certified Occupancy Specialist or similar certifications highly desired.
  • Tax Credit certification highly desired.
  • Sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Extensive computer knowledge (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, internet, e‑mail).
  • Working knowledge of Yardi Voyager Property Management software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Key Accountabilities
  • Recertification Management
    • Conduct annual recertification interviews with residents.
    • Perform income calculations and adjust tenant records.
    • Review and verify documentation for compliance.
    • Maintain accurate tenant files.
    • Send reminders and schedule recertifications.
    • Other duties as assigned.
  • Resident Relations & Customer Service
    • Welcome residents during appointments and provide assistance.
    • Respond to queries and concerns about required documentation.
    • Act as liaison between residents and management.
    • Other duties as assigned.
  • Adherence to Property Management Rules, Regulations & Guidelines
    • Practice proper safety techniques and report issues promptly.
    • Comply with safety policies and attend routine safety meetings.
    • Monitor compliance with regulatory and operational standards.
    • Conduct all business per company policies, Fair Housing, ADA, and other laws.
  • Physical Demands & Working Conditions
    • Essential staff status; adherence to safety and business protocols.
    • Frequent sitting, walking, occasional traveling within region.
    • Repetitive use of computer and phone; required reading, writing, and calculations.
    • Possible work in elevated sites or uneven ground.
    • Occasional squatting, bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling.

Compensation

Compensation Range: $21 - $23 USD.
