Responsibilities
Project Manager responsible for overall program management of assigned customer projects, ensuring goals and objectives are achieved within time and budget while adhering to applicable regulations.
Duties include:
- Accountable for overall program management using appropriate project planning tools.
- Communicates milestones, critical path activities, and assigns internal and external responsibilities to ensure all deliverables are met per customer requirements and agreed timelines.
- Serves as the primary customer contact for activities, including timeline, budget, and customer expectation management, as well as general inquiries.
- Provides support to Business Development with review of quotes and proposals for accuracy.
- Assists with customer Supply Agreements/Contracts during project development, interpreting and ensuring compliance with purchasing authorization from the Supply Agreement.
- Collaborates with the customer to ensure correct application of components and artwork changes, verifies pricing to quote and re‑price if necessary, and communicates price variances with management.
- Leads Project Team and Technical Kick‑Off Meetings for assigned projects.
- Forecasts and manages project expenses in adherence to the project budget.
- Generates customer invoice/billing, including supporting documentation.
- Reviews and approves internal customer‑based specifications for packaging components and processes.
- Provides suggestions for packaging solutions in the areas of design and specification management.
- Coaches, mentors, and supervises Associate Project Managers.
- Effectively facilitates lessons learned at project conclusion to capture best practices, receive constructive feedback, and develop solutions and action plans for future projects.
- Analyzes contribution margin and gross margin for each project.
- Commits to and meets budgetary objectives, communicating adjustments to the Business Unit Manager.
- Establishes and facilitates effective meetings and a communication plan to ensure project success.
- Leads/Facilitates Quarterly Business Review meetings.
- Participates in continuous improvement projects.
- Manages customer visits to PCI.
- Provides training and onboarding for new employees in the same role, as requested.
- This position may require overtime and/or weekend work.
- Maintains knowledge of and adheres to all PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, and rules; attendance at work is essential.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor and utilizes key software platforms to facilitate client data reporting and project status.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and/or 3–5 years related experience and/or training.
- College‑level mathematical skills.
- Intermediate computer skills: ability to perform complex computer tasks and knowledge of various computer programs.
- Full professional proficiency: ability to speak, read, and write fluently and accurately on all professional levels.
- Very high reasoning: ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, interpret technical instructions, and handle multiple abstract and concrete variables.
- Travel‑required.
- May have supervisory responsibilities.
- Preferred: effective presentation skills, ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, ability to demonstrate success in managing employees, willingness to make decisions.
The base salary for this position is $69,920–$87,400 plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus. PCI offers full‑time employees a competitive benefits package that includes paid time off, health insurance coverage (including dental and vision), a flexible spending account, and a 401(k).
