Job Summary
The Pricing Strategy & Planning Senior Analyst develops and implements pricing strategies that balance profitability and market competitiveness, supporting Takeda's business goals.
Responsibilities- Provide technical and analytical support for contracts, including drafting and editing contract documents, negotiating terms, and ensuring compliance.
- Manage contract administration: document portfolio requirements, maintain pricing systems and execute price changes, and communicate product and price notifications in a timely manner.
- Partner with finance, credit, collections, and customer service to resolve pricing issues.
- Create ad hoc analysis for field sales teams on customer purchase patterns and review contract compliance.
- Work cross‑functionally with Market Access, Legal and Finance to align opportunities and risks, driving profitable growth.
- Act as a subject‑matter expert and provide cross‑functional training on contract operations and contract language interpretation.
- Interpret and translate business case requirements into contract language, negotiate with external customers, and ensure accurate contract and pricing establishment and rebate calculations.
- Catalog and store business cases, contract documents, and business exceptions for secure archiving and audit support.
- Assist with implementation of modified strategies, new product launches and special projects.
- Identify, recommend and implement process efficiencies to increase effectiveness.
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or 10 years of related work experience.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in Marketing, Pricing, Contracts, or Finance in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- Experience drafting large volume and high dollar value agreements preferred.
- Strong communication, analytical, teamwork and time‑management skills.
- Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, commercial payer, Medicare Part D and/or trade account markets, and current pricing and rebating practices.
- Financial / business analytical support for pricing and legal initiatives enforcing contract compliance.
- Ability to interact with staff and management from all functional areas and key external customers.
- Strong leadership, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills with sound judgment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, collaborate with partners, and resolve conflict constructively.
- Understanding of Takeda’s diverse product portfolio (Gen Med, Specialty, and Plasma) and compliant practices across managed markets, C&P, and finance organization.
