Provide day-to-day management direction for assigned concrete projects and/or operational units to achieve overall corporate objectives and maximize operating results. Develop new business opportunities, strengthen client relationships, and maintain overall responsibility for the profit and loss of assigned projects and/or operational units.

Establish goals and manage compliance for projects and/or operational units. Work with Vice President and other Project Executives to establish and ensure compliance with corporate objectives. Recruit, train, and develop staff to meet corporate objectives.

• Serves as the overall owner of safety, productivity, schedule, and relationships at the project level. Manage and enforce these expectations in each of these areas.
• Identify, communicate, and manage project risks related to contracts, scope, safety, schedule, productivity, staffing, and financial performance.
• Align project team on site management expectations while maintaining McHugh Concrete’s guiding principles, values and company goals.
• Ability to negotiate client contract terms. Maintains deep knowledge of contract terms and scope of work and ensures compliance.
• Create, review and approve all subcontract and purchase order awards and documents.
• Create, adjust, and maintain project budgets.
• Plan, staff, and manage assigned projects through designated project teams.
• Establish project objectives, review & approval budgets, review & approval schedules, and coordinate achievement of project goals.
• Develop interns, project engineers, detailers, and junior level management through coaching and mentoring.
• Oversee approval of invoices and subcontractor payments.
• Oversee, review and approve all project financial reporting including weekly labor and material cost reviews and progress reporting, monthly cost reports, and monthly projections of project financial performance.
• Manage, takeoff, price and track all contract changes, including diligent follow-up on change orders both upstream and downstream.
• Perform additional assignments as directed by the needs of the Company or as directed by the Executive Team.
• Continuously improve concrete operations and best practices.
• Review concrete estimates and budgets.
• Assist with concrete preconstruction efforts, including estimate review, constructability input, scope alignment, budgeting support, and coordination with operations to ensure project plans are executable.
• Consistently market concrete services and maintain relationships with clients.
• Manage follow-up and punch list work and finalize all project closeout requirements.

• 4-year degree in engineering, construction management or relevant field, or equivalent, plus extensive (five or more years) experience/knowledge of construction, finance, and management required.
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in construction, design, finance, and management
• Concrete construction experience is strongly preferred
