The Director of Worship Ministries will step into a pivotal season, bringing fresh creativity, collaborative leadership, and spiritual depth to the worship life of the church. This role will own the development of engaging, Spirit led worship environments while building and discipling a thriving team. Success in this role looks like increased congregational engagement, a unified and growing worship team, and a more creative, intentional approach to worship planning.
The ideal candidate will be:

This role will focus on cultivating meaningful, engaging worship experiences that align with New Horizon's mission of disciple-making. In the first 12-18 months, success will include strengthening the worship culture, building a healthy and growing team, and implementing more creative and intentional planning processes. This position reports to the Lead Pastor and works closely with staff and ministry leaders across the church.
Weekly rhythms will include service planning, team rehearsals, volunteer development, and collaboration with staff to ensure alignment across ministries. The Director will also help shape the broader worship strategy and environment of the church.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and oversee all aspects of Sunday worship services
- Recruit, train, and disciple worship and tech team members
- Plan and design engaging, creative worship experiences with pastoral leadership
- Lead rehearsals and ensure musical and technical excellence
- Oversee worship technology including audio, lighting, projection, and livestream
- Foster a spiritually healthy and unified worship team culture
- Collaborate with staff and ministry leaders to support churchwide worship needs
- Develop and maintain worship environments and stage design
- Provide clear and consistent communication with staff, volunteers, and congregation
- Explore and implement creative elements including media, video, and special events
