Assistant Director of Communications – Multimedia Content Creation ()

Location:

Administrative Center – Communications.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Multimedia Production, Digital Media, Film, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Professional experience in multimedia production, visual storytelling, or digital communications.
  • Three to five years of experience is preferred; substantial professional work completed while enrolled in college may be considered.
  • Professional portfolio demonstrating excellence in photography, videography, editing, and visual storytelling.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Audition, or equivalent software.
  • Experience operating professional DSLR or mirrorless cameras and related lighting, audio, and stabilization equipment.
  • Experience creating accessible multimedia content for social media, websites, presentations, streaming platforms, and other digital communications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; manage multiple projects; meet deadlines; and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Valid Illinois driver's license and ability to travel throughout the District.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends to support District events and emergency communications.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience in K-12 education, higher education, nonprofit, or government communications; knowledge of multimedia accessibility standards; and FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification or willingness to obtain it.
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.
Compensation
  • The entry level base salary for this position is $73,815 in the upcoming school year, plus highly competitive benefits, including 100% Board-paid TRS contributions and 100% Board-paid employee-only health, dental, and term life insurance. There is a minimal employee cost for vision insurance. Additional compensation above the base is offered to candidates based on their number of years of successful administrative experience.
