M&R Car Import Services II, Inc. is looking for a motivated, organized, and customer-focused Service Coordinator to join our team in Lincoln Park, Chicago.

This is a front desk, customer service, cashier, parts, and shop logistics role with a clear opportunity to grow into a Jr. Service Advisor position and eventually into a full Service Advisor or Service Manager role.
The Service Coordinator is a support and administration role that helps keep the shop moving. This person focuses on the important logistical “puzzle pieces” of the business: greeting customers, answering phones, checking vehicles in, organizing parts, helping with estimates, supporting the advisors, and keeping the workflow moving smoothly.
Key responsibilities- Greeting customers and providing a professional first impression
- Answering phone calls and helping schedule appointments
- Checking customers and vehicles in at the front desk
- Organizing parts, invoices, paperwork, and customer documents
- Helping source parts and check inventory
- Entering parts pricing and labor information into the shop software
- Supporting service advisors with customer updates and workflow
- Keeping the front desk area organized, clean, and professional
- Helping build the blueprint of estimates before they are reviewed and presented by a Service Advisor
- Friendly, professional, and great with customers
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
- Comfortable on the phone
- Good with data entry, paperwork, and multitasking
- Able to stay calm and focused in a busy shop environment
- Interested in growing within the automotive service industry
Automotive experience is a plus, especially if you have worked in a repair shop, parts department, dealership, or are currently attending automotive school. However, we are willing to train the right person.
Spanish is a strong plus, but fluent English and strong customer service skills are required.
ScheduleFull-time preferred, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Part-time opportunities are available
CompensationHourly or salary opportunity depending on experience
Performance-based commissions and bonuses available
Starting pay will depend on experience level and role fit
