We are a thriving healthcare system inviting an Orthopedic Surgeon to join our team in Olney, IL, approximately 2 hours from Champaign‑Urbana and Chicago. The role focuses on improving patient lives through comprehensive orthopedic care and continuous learning.
LocationOlney, IL – a 25‑bed Critical Access, DNV accredited facility serving eight southeastern Illinois counties. All surgeries will be performed in 5 operating rooms, with dedicated clinic hours and a full‑time Advanced Practice Provider and support staff.
Responsibilities and Clinical Scope- Perform total joint replacement (knee and hip) surgeries; experience or training is mandatory.
- Perform minimally invasive procedures; training or experience preferred.
- Provide pre‑ and post‑operative care, including coordination with outpatient therapy and home health services.
- Assist in surgical blocks and attend to a full range of orthopedic, general, oncology, OB/GYN, ophthalmology, urological, and podiatric services.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary medical team and dedicated Advanced Practice Provider.
- Board‑certified orthopaedic surgeon.
- Minimal joint replacement experience – mandatory.
- Experience or training in minimally invasive techniques preferred.
- Willingness to live in the Olney area and participate in the local community.
- Interest in research or academic affiliation is a plus.
- $650,000 - $700,000 base salary plus production and incentive bonuses.
