Chesterbrook Academy is seeking a dependable, safety‑focused Preschool Bus Driver to support our school community! Our drivers play a vital role in ensuring children arrive safely, on time, and in a positive frame of mind to school each day. We are looking for someone who is responsible, attentive, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety and care.
As a Preschool Bus Driver, you’ll transport children and support our school staff with a warm, professional demeanor while upholding all state regulations and company policies.
What You’ll Do:- Safely transport children to and from school, field trips, and scheduled activities.
- Ensure child safety and supervision during loading, unloading, and transit.
- Perform daily vehicle safety inspections and routine cleaning of the bus/van.
- Follow all state and local traffic laws, transportation regulations, and school policies.
- Maintain accurate transportation logs, attendance sheets, and mileage records.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with families and staff.
- Support school operations and assist with additional duties when not driving (as assigned).
- Must be at least 25 years old and meet state licensing requirements.
- Valid state driver’s license in the state in which you are applying.
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
- Ability to pass a background check, motor vehicle report review, and any required state screenings.
- Prior professional driving experience preferred (school, childcare, or commercial driving is a plus).
- Strong reliability, punctuality, and ability to follow safety protocols.
- Friendly, calm, and patient demeanor when working with young children.
