• The salary is determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Champaign Federation of Teachers, including a higher level for positions designated as “hard to fill.” The full schedule and list are on our website. The District currently awards unlimited experience credit for service outside the District. New teachers may request up to $2,000 as a salary advance for relocation or other needs.
  
  100% of a teacher’s contributions to TRS are paid by the Board of Education. The Board pays 100% of teacher-only health, dental, and term life insurance. Vision insurance has minimal employee cost. Teachers can earn additional compensation through stipends, differentials, and extra duty pay during the school year and summer.
• The District offers an additional $1,500 annual stipend for teachers who hold a national board certification from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.
• Individuals hired into a 1.0 FTE position in the CFT bargaining unit after October 1, 2023 are eligible for a $1,500 Sign‑On Bonus. Details can be found on the Human Resources page of our website.

• This position will remain posted until the hiring process is complete; interviews may be conducted after June 9, 2025, so interested applicants should submit materials as soon as possible.
• The District is willing to consider candidates who can begin work immediately as well as those who can begin next school year. If hired to begin immediately, continued employment next year is possible but not guaranteed.

• Champaign Unit 4 Schools serves over 10,000 PreK‑YAS students in 18 facilities, which include twelve elementary schools, three middle schools, two high schools, one early childhood facility, and the Novak Academy.
