The President is the school's Chief Executive Officer and assumes ultimate responsibility for all activities of the school. Under the general direction of the Bishop of Peoria and the Superintendent of Catholic Schools, the President will oversee operational, advancement, and enrollment efforts, and will lead the school in its commitment to strong academics, honors, AP, and Dual Credit courses, as well as its spiritual formation under a Christ-centered atmosphere.
Candidates are expected to be available to assume the responsibilities of the position in July 2027 or sooner. The search committee is on a fast-track to identify and secure the next President. About the High School of St. Thomas MoreThe High School of St. Thomas More in Champaign, IL is seeking its next President. The school was the vision of parents who desired authentic Catholic education beyond 8th grade. Opened in 2000 with 73 students, over 200 students are now enrolled. The school remains steadfast to its commitment to strong academics, with honors, AP, and Dual Credit courses, and includes a working farm on campus farmed by local families.
The school exists to assist parents in forming students spiritually, morally, intellectually, and physically in a Christ-centered atmosphere of love, respect, and reverence consistent with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, sending them forth to fulfill their baptismal call as His disciples in the world. Graduating classes are a testament to the school’s excellent formation, both academically and spiritually, with graduates matriculating to a number of selective institutions including the University of Notre Dame, the U.S. Naval Academy, and the seminary.
