Blazer Jobs is currently seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher for a full-time contract position in the Bloomingdale, Illinois area. • Develop and Manage IEPs: Create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that address the specific needs of each student, ensuring their academic and personal growth.
• Provide Direct Instruction: Deliver targeted instruction and interventions to students with a range of disabilities, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.
• Collaborate with Educators: Work alongside general education teachers, support staff, and administrators to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Conduct Assessments: Regularly assess students progress, making data-driven decisions to adjust instructional strategies as needed.
• Engage with Families: Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to discuss student progress, address concerns, and share successes.
• Maintain Compliance: Keep accurate records and documentation in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Participate in Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional learning opportunities to stay current with best practices in special education.

• Educational Background: Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a closely related field.
• Certification: Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a special education endorsement.
• Experience: Prior experience working with special education students and their families is highly preferred.
• Skills: Expertise in IEP development and implementation, strong communication and teamwork abilities, and a commitment to supporting students with diverse needs.

• Hold a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with the appropriate special education endorsement.
• Complete a state-approved teacher preparation program in special education.
• Adhere to all Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) certification requirements, including professional development and continuing education.
• Pass a background check and fingerprinting as required by Illinois state law.
