Job Description

Minimum 1+ years special education experience required.

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 24-25 school year in Monmouth, IL! As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for providing specialized instruction and support to Elementary students helping them to achieve academic success and develop life skills.

• Provide services to K-5th students with ADHD, high functioning Autism, specific learning disabilities and other health impairments
• Use a variety of teaching strategies and materials to meet the individual needs of students
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjust instruction as needed, and provide regular progress reports to parents and other stakeholders
• Collaborate with other teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure student success

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field
• Valid Illinois teaching certificate in Special Education (LBS1)
• Experience working with students with disabilities, preferably in a school setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with others to meet the needs of students
• Positive attitude and a commitment to student success
