Minimum 1+ years special education experience required.
Sunbelt Staffing is currently seeking a Special Education Teacher for a position in the Oak Lawn, IL area. This role will involve working with students with diverse learning needs in a supportive educational environment.
Responsibilities- Customizing general education lesson plans to meet the needs of special education students
- Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and actively participating in IEP meetings
- Providing tailored instruction to accommodate the individual learning styles and needs of students
- Collaborating with fellow educators and support staff to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Offering assistance and accommodations to help students succeed academically and socially
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification in Illinois
- Prior experience working with students with diverse learning needs
- Proficiency in developing and executing IEPs
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
