Schedule: Full-Time, 35 hours per week

Position Overview:

Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team as a Special Education Paraprofessional. This role will be stationed at a high school, working directly with students in transition and high school programs. The ideal candidate will have experience with students with disabilities and be prepared to assist with toileting, feedings, position changes, and hygiene as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Support high school students with disabilities in their daily activities.
  • Assist with toileting, feeding, position changes, and hygiene as required.
  • Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) under the guidance of the special education teacher.
  • Provide physical and emotional support to students to help them achieve their educational and personal goals.
  • Monitor and document student progress and behavior.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other school staff to ensure a supportive learning environment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for students.
Requirements:
  • Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) required.
  • Experience working with students with disabilities is essential.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain a para certification (application costs $50).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with students, families, and school staff.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
