• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with Special Education Endorsement.

• The salary is based on the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Champaign Federation of Teachers, including a higher level for positions designated as “hard to fill.”
• 100% of teacher contributions to TRS are paid by the Board of Education.
• The Board pays 100% of employee‑only health, dental, and term life insurance; vision insurance is minimally costed.
• Opportunities for additional compensation (stipends, differential, extra duty pay, etc.) during the regular school year and summer.
• Annual stipend of $1,500 for teachers holding a national board certification from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.
• Individuals hired into a 1.0 FTE position after 1 Oct 2023 are eligible for a $1,500 sign‑on bonus.
• New teachers may request up to $2,000 as a salary advance for relocation or other needs.
