APEX Teacher (High School Summer School)

High School Summer School, Centennial High School, Champaign, IL

Pay: $40.00 per hour

• Positively transforming learning and life outcomes for students through educational justice, equity, and excellence.

• Conduct classroom instruction for high school students Monday‑Thursday, 8:00 a.m. – 1:15 p.m.
• Arrive on duty 7:45 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. and be on call for staff meetings 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
• Attend staff meetings and professional learning sessions, including a paid pre‑school session on Monday, June 1, 2026, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
• Prepare instructional materials and spend 3 hours of paid prep time at the start of each session; additionally, use paid grading time 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. on the final day of each session.
• Manage classroom, administer assessments, and maintain student records.
• Communicate with students, parents, and school staff to support learning goals.

• Valid Illinois High School Professional Educator License with High School Endorsement.
• Teaching certification and experience working with high‑school students.
