Certified School Nurse

We’re partnering with a school district in Lake County, Illinois to hire a dedicated Certified School Nurse (CSN) for the 2026–2027 school year
. This is an on-site, full-time.

You’ll provide school-based nursing services to support student health, safety, and access to learning—collaborating with educators and support teams to ensure students’ medical needs are met throughout the school day. This includes supporting K–12 plus transition-age students (ages 18–22) with varying levels/types of support needs.

• Responsibilities
  :
  
  Provide direct school nursing services and respond to student health needs during the school day
• Support and maintain student health plans and required health documentation
• Collaborate with special education and school teams to support student access and safety
• Deliver basic health education and reinforce wellness/safety practices as needed
• Communicate with families and staff regarding student health needs while maintaining confidentiality
• Support campus/district health procedures and compliance requirements as applicable
• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with CSN endorsement (Certified School Nurse)
• School-based experience preferred (K–12)
• Comfort supporting students with varying levels/types of support needs, including transition-age students (18–22)
• Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to work fully on-site (no virtual/remote)
