Position Overview:We are seeking a dynamic and passionate School Psychologist to join our team. The School Psychologist will play a critical role in supporting the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs of our students. We are looking for a dedicated professional who is mitted to providing culturally responsive services and promoting the well-being of all learners.
Responsibilities:- Conduct prehensive psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, social, and emotional functioning.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and munity agencies to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) for students with diverse needs.
- Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and social skills training to students experiencing academic, behavioral, or emotional challenges.
- Administer and interpret standardized assessments to identify learning disabilities, developmental delays, and other psychological factors impacting student learning and behavior.
- Support teachers in implementing evidence-based interventions and strategies to address the diverse learning needs of students in the classroom.
- Serve as a consultant and resource to school staff on topics related to positive behavior support, social-emotional learning, and mental health promotion.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with colleagues to develop intervention plans and support strategies for students with disabilities.
- Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Psychologist endorsement.
- National Certification as a School Psychologist (NCSP) preferred.
- Previous experience working as a School Psychologist in a school or educational setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools, intervention strategies, and educational laws and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including munication, collaboration, and problem-solving.
