Position Summary

English Teacher – up to 6 positions available (based on student enrollment). Job .

• Summer School Teacher – High School
• High School Summer School

• First session:
  Monday–Thursday, June 2–22, 2026
• Second session:
  Monday–Thursday, June 23–July 13, 2026
• Student contact hours: 8:00 a.m. – 1:15 p.m.
• Staff duty hours: 7:45 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
• Staff meeting: 1:30–2:30 p.m. each session (June 2 and June 23); teachers teaching both sessions attend 1‑hour meeting on June 1.
• Professional learning:
  Monday, June 1, 2026, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
• Paid prep time: 3 hours at the beginning of each session and 2 hours from 1:30–3:30 p.m. on the final day of each session.
• Rate: $40.00 per hour.

• Valid Illinois High School Professional Educator License with High School English Endorsement.

Position will remain posted until the hiring process is complete; interviews may be conducted after February 23, 2026. Submit materials ASAP to ensure consideration.

• Position located at Centennial High School.
• Class sessions will only run if enrollment requirements are met.
