Job Summary

Candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in Engineering and Agriculture. University High School is a service unit of the College of Education of Illinois State University. It offers a comprehensive program of instruction for 625 students in grades 9‑12. This unique school acts as a laboratory for 21st‑century educational innovation and research. The mission is to provide a site where excellence in education theory may be connected to practice.

Extracurricular duties may be assigned.

Education

Bachelor’s degree required. Type 09 Teaching License or equivalent is required. Master’s degree is preferred.

Salary Rate / Pay Rate

$42,418 – $83,020, depending on educational level and years of service.

Required Qualifications

Work Hours

Generally Monday‑Friday school hours with occasional work beyond regular school hours.

  • Ability to effectively communicate on a daily basis
  • Ability to use a computer in day‑to‑day work
  • Ability to conduct or attend meetings in various locations on and off campus
  • Ability to maintain a high level of concentration
