Under the supervision of the Douglass Branch Manager, the Library Associate assists customers of all ages at the Douglass Branch Library with information and reference questions; helps plan, prepare, and execute programming for all ages; assists and instructs customers with their use of library computers, personal electronic devices, and other technologies including those in The Makerspace; prepares displays and demonstrates library resources;

and assists with collection support. Demonstrates enthusiasm and curiosity about the changing world of public libraries; is customer focused and forward thinking; knowledgeable of popular books, movies and current technology and is eager to assist library customers.

• Bachelor degree required
• One year of supervisory or team leader experience preferred
• Public library experience preferred
• Customer service experience preferred
• Knowledge of Spanish and/or French is helpful
• Any combination of experience and education that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities

25 hour position - $27.88 - $35.60 per hour
