Head of Program Design

• Own the evolution, quality, and integrity of Braven's program experiences for students, volunteers, and staff
• Design and evolve the program experience from the Accelerator course through six months of post-graduation Fellow support
• Maintain a multimodal library of workshops, learning modules, facilitated sequences, resources, tools, and event designs
• Create and pilot program assets based on field observations, research, partner needs, and emerging student needs
• Translate research findings into program design, sequencing, facilitation, and delivery decisions
• Refresh program assets using stakeholder feedback, student outcome data, labor-market changes, and new technology
• Set standards for program structure, duration, assessment, facilitation, adult learning, and cultural competence
• Design and deliver ongoing training for staff and volunteers, including design intent and facilitation guidance
• Lead, develop, and grow the Design team
• Serve on the Product Leadership Team and One Braven leadership team
• Partner with Research, Data, Program Delivery, Operations, and Technology to improve evidence-based delivery and scalability
• Engage with the field through online and in-person visits
• Simplify program architecture while preserving essential student outcomes
• Help scope and grow the Design team as Braven scales

• BS/BA
• 10+ years of experience designing clear, engaging, purposeful, and culturally competent learning experiences
• 3+ years of experience managing a team toward outcomes
• Expert practice in human-centered design and adult learning science
• Experience building and maintaining a reusable program or curriculum library for multiple delivery teams or contexts
• Experience designing human-centered learning experiences that scale through technology
• Experience designing training and enablement for program facilitators
• Experience managing old, evolving, and piloting new designs simultaneously
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to synthesize observations, user interviews, research, feedback, and quantitative data
• Alignment with Braven's values and experience working with predominantly low-income students and people of color
• Proven track record of building and growing high-performing teams
• Strategic thinking across individual experiences and the full student journey
• Ability to work across teams and influence without formal authority
• Experience contributing to organizational strategy as a senior leader
• Proficiency in learning management systems and content editors, including Canvas and Articulate
• Ability to work in person 3 days per week in Atlanta, Chicago, Newark, or New York City
• Ability to travel 2-3 times per quarter
