The Department of Mechanical Science and Engineering in the Grainger College of Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign invite s applications for up to two full-time Lecturer positions. Successful candidates will have demonstrated expertise in numerical methods for mechanical analysis, as well as teaching in the related areas of mechanics and mechanical design.

A doctoral degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required at the start date. The budgeted salary range is as follows: $80,000 to $90,000, for a 9-month service basis paid over 12 months. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity.

These positions are eligible for work authorization sponsorship.

Applicants may be interviewed before the closing date; however, no hiring decision will be made until after that date. The start date is expected to be January 16, 2027; however, this is negotiable.
