Position OverviewFarnsworth Group is seeking a Construction Resident Engineer located in one of our Central Illinois offices including Bloomington, Peoria, Pontiac, or Champaign, IL
. You will have an opportunity to work in the field on road and bridge construction projects.
The person in this position will lead and supervise a field staff in contract management, administration, field engineering services, and coordination of mid to large-sized heavy highway construction projects. The candidate should have a strong background in construction management, including residential streets, highways, bridges, utility relocation, trunk water main/sewer, retaining walls, stormwater pollution prevention, traffic control review, and related facilities. This role involves occasional exposure to heavy traffic or adverse weather conditions and requires the ability to think clearly and act effectively under these conditions.
Job Responsibilities- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License.
- Minimum of 8 years of Resident Engineering experience in transportation projects.
- Certifications:
10 HR OSHA, IDOT HMA and Concrete Level 1, IDOT Aggregates. - Partnering approach to Construction Management.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Experience with IDOT, Tollway, and/or local agency federally funded projects.

Salary and InclusionSalary Range: $95,000 - $135,000, commensurate with experience. We are committed to diversity and inclusion, aiming to recruit and retain a diverse workforce.
