Roadway Engineer IV

Join our team and you will help provide engineering solutions on major infrastructure improvements across the Midwest for various DOT's, counties, and municipalities.

Engineer IV has the responsibility to make decisions and interpretations affecting the outcome of a construction project. Tasks performed require broad knowledge of engineering fundamentals with minimal immediate supervision needed, as is typically required of a licensed professional. An Engineer IV may work on several projects at a time, reporting to the assigned Resident Engineer. Projects involve numerous contractors and subcontractors who must be monitored for schedules, workmanship, and contract performance.

• Make calculations and run models necessary to perform assignments in a format that can easily checked by others
• Maintain proper filing, calculations, documentation, and drawing conventions/standards as established by Ciorba Group
• Design work in Micro Station, Open Roads, and other software
• Mentor staff engineers

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from accredited school
• 6‑10 years of roadway design experience
• Proficiency with computer‑aided design (CAD) software
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Demonstrated leadership and teamwork abilities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
