Engineer IV has the responsibility to make decisions and interpretations affecting the outcome of a construction project. Tasks performed require broad knowledge of engineering fundamentals with minimal immediate supervision needed, as is typically required of a licensed professional. An Engineer IV may work on several projects at a time, reporting to the assigned Resident Engineer. Projects involve numerous contractors and subcontractors who must be monitored for schedules, workmanship, and contract performance.
Key Responsibilities- Make calculations and run models necessary to perform assignments in a format that can easily checked by others
- Maintain proper filing, calculations, documentation, and drawing conventions/standards as established by Ciorba Group
- Design work in Micro Station, Open Roads, and other software
- Mentor staff engineers
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from accredited school
- 6‑10 years of roadway design experience
- Proficiency with computer‑aided design (CAD) software
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Demonstrated leadership and teamwork abilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
