As the Project Engineer, you will help the project team with all administration and documentation of the construction project while providing support to assist the team in overseeing one to two trades on a larger project or many trades on smaller projects.
Assigned Responsibilities- Represent and demonstrate the values of F.H. Paschen: tenacity, versatility, ingenuity, and pride.
- Ability to participate in preconstruction services, including estimating and value engineering.
- Track material procurement and coordinate deliveries.
- Produce project schedules with site superintendent.
- Review and determine suitability of submittals.
- Quote/qualify subcontractor requests for change orders.
- Track status of change orders.
- Track status of Requests for Information.
- Collect, verify and distribute as-builts.
- Maintain project close-out documents.
- Assist with field supervision.
- Blueprint reading.
- Quantity take-offs.
- Subcontractor solicitations.
- Correspondence.
- Document Control.
- Subcontractor Coordination.
- Other duties as assigned.
- General work hours are 7:30am - 5pm and 5‑day work weeks are standard. Note that work hours and workdays may vary (changes, additions, etc.) based on critical work activities and/or required safety supervision.
- B.S. in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a degree related to the built environment is required.
- 2-3 years on the job experience is preferred.
- Candidates should have experience with technology related to construction, such as Blue Beam, Revit, and Procore.
- Strong written and oral communication skills are required.
