Job Description
Provide engineering support (both internal and external) for products, compliance, manufacturing, and quality assurance for Remke’s extensive line of electrical connection products as a contributing member of the Remke Engineering Team. In addition, this position provides manufacturing technical support to all aspects of production. This position also provides technical support to customers, suppliers, sales and other internal departments as required. Additionally, this position works directly with customers to ensure they receive the correct products for their applications.
Dutiesand Responsibilities Agency Compliance and Approvals
- Responsible for compliance requirements for UL, CSA, ETL, RoHS, REACH, etc.
- Extensive technical knowledge of compliance standards and specifications
- Apply industry best practices to maintaining compliance system and keeping up to date with changing requirements
- Provide technical knowledge, support, and expertise for all company products including technical phone support, customer requests, and sales support
- Create and maintain documentation, CAD models, and special customer requirements
- Responsible for technical catalog content and specifications
- Conduct testing as required for product performance requirements
- Support, develop, and document manufacturing processes for parts and assemblies
- Provide support and entry for ERP system MOMs, BOMs, BOOs and product attributes
- Provide technical assistance with suppliers of critical components and materials
- Suggest, recommend, and implement process improvements.
- Maintain company ISO Standards and documentation, and support company audits
- Provide root cause analysis and recommend solutions
- Responsible for managing multiple larger scale projects simultaneously
- Complete projects from start to finish
Position Requirements Manufacturing, Production, Industry
- B.S. in Mechanical, General, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering
- 4-8 years of related engineering experience
- Multi-disciplined in manufacturing, design, quality, and procurement
- Proficient using Solidworks or other CAD software
- Working knowledge of ERP software including BOM/MOM entry and operations
- Industry experience serving Electrical, Cable/Wire, or Connectivity preferred
- Molded Products, Injection and/or Rubber molding experience preferred
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of product regulations, markings, and compliance standards
- Working knowledge of ISO quality systems (ISO- preferred)
- Ability to translate regulatory language and requirements into internal product specifications
- Familiarity with 6S standards
- Ability to work under minimal direction to complete deadlines and budgets
- Strong collaboration skills to interface between multiple departments and outside resources
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skillset
- Strong proficiency with MS Office including Excel, Word, etc.
- Team oriented approach
Pay Range: $66,000 - $82,000
