What you’ll do- Lead and manage wastewater solutions projects.
- Resolve scheduling, staffing and quality issues to deliver results on time and within budget.
- Design and develop wastewater treatment systems, collection systems, and related infrastructure.
- Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and technical reports for municipal and industrial wastewater projects.
- Perform hydraulic modeling, process design, and system optimization.
- Apply expertise in anaerobic digestion of biosolids, including system design, evaluation, and optimization for treatment efficiency and energy recovery.
- Support and guide projects involving biosolids management strategies, including anaerobic digestion processes, regulatory compliance, and operational best practices.
- Business development with clients in existing and new markets.
- Build and maintain client relationships.
- Effectively communicate ideas and technical concepts to co‑workers and clients on sensitive and complex matters.
- Lead projects utilizing staff and sub‑consultant resources to successful completion of projects on schedule and on budget.
- Prepare client contracts, statements of qualifications, priced proposals and contracts.
- Perform quality control for assigned projects and clients.
- Work on complex projects.
- Prepare documents and reports.
- Perform work that involves non-conventional planning.
- Ideally, a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a similar degree with appropriate experience.
- 8 years of experience in engineering with 2+ years of Project Management experience.
- Licensed Professional Engineer.
- Navigate Illinois Environmental Protection Agency regulations with ease.
- Proven client relationship management skills.
- Smart worker and team player.
- Well‑acquainted with wastewater processes, methods, and state and federal requirements, including biosolids treatment and anaerobic digestion systems.
