Duration: 12 Months

Shift: 8:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday - Friday

Pay Rate: $60.86/Hour on W2

Position Summary:
  • This position requires a solid understanding of packaging engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • The role provides exposure to a wide range of packaging materials and technologies, including flexible and rigid films, HDPE and foil pouches, corrugated and protective packaging, thermoforming, flow-wrap, form/fill/seal systems, printing technologies, and other related packaging processes.
  • The position may require travel to manufacturing facilities and supplier locations to support packaging development, implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead packaging projects related to Quality/CAPA, Regulatory, Cost Savings, Supplier Changes, and New Product Introductions.
  • Develop and validate packaging solutions, specifications, drawings, and testing protocols.
  • Manage change control activities and collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, Regulatory, and suppliers.
  • Evaluate and implement new packaging materials and processes.
  • Drive cost reduction and continuous improvement using Lean and DMAIC methodologies.
  • Support project planning, execution, and financial justification.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering or a related Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Chemical, Biomedical, etc.).
  • Minimum 5 years of packaging engineering experience.
  • Strong knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, statistical methods, and Design of Experiments (DOE).
  • Experience with change control, project management, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Preferred:
    Experience in the medical device or healthcare industry.
