Are you a Structural Engineer looking to work on projects that directly impact communities across the Midwest?
A well-established, employee-owned engineering consulting firm is seeking a Structural Engineer to join its growing team in Champaign, IL. This is an opportunity to work on critical water, wastewater, and municipal infrastructure projects while collaborating with experienced multidisciplinary teams on complex engineering challenges.
You'll play a key role in the planning, design, and construction support of treatment facilities, pump stations, industrial structures, and other essential infrastructure that keeps communities running.
What You’ll Be Doing- Structural analysis and design for municipal and industrial infrastructure projects
- Collaborating with civil, mechanical, electrical, and process engineering teams
- Preparing calculations, reports, plans, and technical specifications
- Supporting projects through design, bidding, and construction phases
- Working directly with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders
- Contributing to project management activities and mentoring junior staff as you grow
- 4+ years of structural engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Experience with reinforced concrete, steel, masonry, or industrial structures
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or other CADD software
- Interest in municipal, water/wastewater, or industrial infrastructure projects
