About the RoleThe CAD Technician is responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining engineering drawings while supporting the development of new products and design improvements. This position works closely with engineers to translate concepts into accurate technical drawings, manage documentation within the CAD system, and ensure design records are properly controlled and approved. The role requires strong attention to detail, technical proficiency in CAD software, and the ability to support multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaboratewithengineerstocreateandcompletedrawingsfornewproductsandengineeringchanges.
- Updateandmodifydrawingsbasedonmarked-upprints,designrevisions,andengineeringfeedback.
- Supportnewproductdevelopmentactivitiesbyassistingwithdesignrefinementandresolvingdrawing-relatedgaps.
- ManageengineeringdocumentationwithintheCADmanagementsystem,includinguploadingdrawings,trackingstatus,andsupportingapprovalworkflows.
- Maintaindrawingtemplatesandensuredocumentationcomplieswithestablishedstandardsandversioncontrolrequirements.
- StaycurrentwithCADsoftwareenhancementsandapplybestpracticestoimprovedrawingqualityandefficiency.
- ActasakeyresourceforCADadministrationwithintheengineeringteam.
- Balancemultipleprioritiesandsupportseveralengineeringprojectssimultaneously.
- Associate degree,technicaldiploma,orequivalentexperiencein
Drafting,Design Technology,Engineering Technology,orarelatedfield. - ProficiencywithCADsoftware,preferably
Autodesk
Inventor. - Understandingofmechanicaldesignprinciplesandengineeringdrawings.
- Experience creating,maintaining,andrevisingtechnicaldocumentation.
- Familiaritywithdrawingcontrolprocesses,approval workflows,andversionmanagement.
- Strongorganizationalskillsandtheabilitytomanagemultipleprojectsconcurrently.
- Highlydetail-orientedwithacommitmenttoaccuracyandquality.
- Abilitytoworkindependentlywhilecollaboratingeffectivelywithengineersandcross-functional teams.
- Strongcommunicationandproblem-solving skills.
- Adaptableandcomfortableworkinginafast-pacedengineeringenvironment.

Salary Range:
$54,000 – $77,520
The salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
