Personal Financial Counselor; Macon, GA

Job Summary

This position will provide personal financial counseling services to military service members and their families at assigned military installations. The counselor will deliver a full range of personal financial services including one-on-one counseling, briefings, presentations, and referrals. The role also includes coordinating classes and workshops across the military lifecycle, virtual counseling, and compliance with DoD protocols.

• Deliver personal financial counseling and management services directly to service members and families.
• Assist service members in developing spending plans for extended absences.
• Create and disseminate informational financial materials.
• Coordinate, publicize, and provide a variety of personal financial management classes/workshops.
• Respond to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars.
• Utilize virtual counseling or electronic communication methods (web-based, secure chat, video).
• Manage duty-to-warn situations according to DoD protocol.
• Communicate with leadership and participate in regular supervision, sharing trends and issues.
• Participate in training, quality improvement committees, and other contract activities as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree required; associate degree plus 4 years of experience or high school diploma plus 6 years of experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 3 years of financial counseling experience.
• United States citizenship and fluent English; bilingual in English and Spanish if required.
• Ability to obtain a Tier 2 security investigation and pass the Congressional mandated OCI process.
• Must hold one of the following certifications:
  Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).

Base salary range: $58,440 – $93,500, adjusted for location and experience. The role may be eligible for short-term incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.
