Manager, Transaction Services
The Manager, Transaction Services is responsible for managing and executing business valuation, litigation support, and forensic accounting engagements for a variety of clients and purposes. This role provides technical expertise, oversees engagement execution, develops staff, and works closely with clients, attorneys, and firm leadership to deliver accurate, objective, and supportable analyses. The Manager serves as a key contributor to the Transaction Services team while helping maintain exceptional client service and engagement quality.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesClient Service & Technical Leadership
- Manage business valuation engagements for a variety of purposes, including transaction advisory, estate and gift tax planning, shareholder disputes, marital dissolution, litigation support, and financial reporting.
- Serve as a primary client contact throughout engagements and maintain strong working relationships with clients and external advisors.
- Perform and review financial statement analysis, normalization adjustments, and valuation methodologies, including income, market, and asset-based approaches.
- Conduct industry, economic, and company-specific research to support valuation conclusions and engagement analyses.
- Prepare and review valuation reports, forensic accounting reports, supporting schedules, and client deliverables in accordance with applicable professional standards.
- Assist with forensic accounting analyses, including tracing funds, identifying financial discrepancies, and calculating economic damages.
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly through written reports, presentations, and client discussions.
- Ensure engagements are completed accurately, efficiently, and within established timelines.
People Leadership & Development
- Provide day-to-day guidance, coaching, and technical support to associates, senior associates, and interns.
- Review work prepared by team members and provide constructive feedback to support development and quality standards.
- Assist with staff training, onboarding, and knowledge sharing within the Transaction Services practice.
- Contribute to a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Practice Support & Business Development
- Support business development efforts by participating in networking opportunities, client relationship activities, and professional organizations.
- Identify opportunities to expand services with existing clients and communicate those opportunities to firm leadership.
- Assist in developing internal processes, templates, and best practices that enhance engagement quality and efficiency.
- Stay current on valuation methodologies, industry developments, and professional standards.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field required.
- CPA designation required.
- Accredited valuation credential (ABV, CVA, ASA, CFA, or equivalent) preferred or willingness to pursue.
- Five or more years of experience in business valuation, forensic accounting, litigation support, transaction advisory, or a related field.
- Experience managing client engagements and supervising staff preferred.
