Loan​/Grant Facilitator

Farnsworth Group is seeking a Loan/Grant Facilitator to join the Civil Engineering Section, assisting municipalities with water, wastewater, parks, streets, and sidewalk projects. The role involves managing the State Revolving Loan program and supporting grant identification and application for local government units and non‑profits.

Champaign, IL;
Effingham, IL

• Administration and completion of loans/grants and IEPA State Revolving Loans
• Technical writing working with Engineers on the technical aspect of the application
• Client interaction to secure necessary information and approvals
• Compiling of technical and administrative documents for the application
• Working with Agencies and internal staff to submit timely, complete and competitive applications
• Assist in the monitoring of loan and grant status timelines
• Close out of loans/grants
• Documentation of the application process and lessons learned to be used for future grant opportunities to share with the team
• Screening projects to match needs with funding opportunities

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, nonprofit management, or related fields
• Applicable experience related to administration of government funded grants and/or loans is preferred but not required
• Experience with the process for IEPA State Revolving Loan Program preferred
• Must be an independent worker with excellent organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills with external clients and internal departments required
• Experience presenting grant applications in front of municipal boards and councils preferred

$55,000‑84,000 (Salary determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity)
