Oncology Clinical Pharmacist (Lead Role)

Compensation: $40,000–$70,000 commensurate with experience + 10% Annual Bonus
SCHEDULE:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, No nights, weekends, or on-call responsibilities.

We are seeking an experienced Oncology Clinical Pharmacist to serve as the clinical lead for a busy outpatient infusion center. This is a highly autonomous position responsible for overseeing oncology pharmacy operations, ensuring safe and compliant medication management, collaborating with providers on treatment protocols, and leading pharmacy support staff.
Key Responsibilities- Lead all clinical pharmacy activities within the infusion center
- Verify chemotherapy and oncology treatment orders
- Perform and oversee chemotherapy compounding activities
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff on treatment protocols and patient care initiatives
- Ensure compliance with USP 797 and USP 800 standards
- Maintain regulatory and quality standards within the pharmacy operation
- Supervise and mentor a team of pharmacy technicians
- Support continuous process improvement and best practices in oncology pharmacy services

Requirements- PharmD or equivalent degree
- Active Illinois Pharmacist License or ability to obtain licensure
- Clinical experience in hematology/oncology pharmacy
- Experience with chemotherapy compounding
- Strong knowledge of USP 797 and USP 800 regulations
- Experience with chemotherapy order verification and protocol management
- Epic and/or Epic Beacon experience
- Experience in a QOPI-certified practice environment
- Medically Integrated Dispensing (MID) experience
