Christie Clinic’s department of Gastroenterology is seeking a full‑time Medical Assistant for the Fields clinic. The role is restricted to weekdays and does not involve night or weekend shifts.

• Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments prior to patient appointments.
• Clean and restock rooms at the end of the day.
• Prepare charts according to department standards.
• Maintain and update patient medical records, including allergies and medications, and enter the information into the electronic medical record.
• Use the flag system appropriately as per standard work procedures.
• Review and respond to the electronic medical record work list per department guidelines.
• Complete lab order entries and handle patient specimens, including communication to patients as required.
• Assist providers with procedures and surgery as needed.
• Provide patient education related to medication instructions, procedures, wound care, or other relevant patient care information.
• Perform related work as required.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Nurse Assistant Certificate and/or graduation from an accredited medical assistant program.

• Previous health‑care experience.

• CPR Certification.

Physical activities include sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching, and lifting up to 75pounds. Hearing must be within, or correctable to, a normal range, vision must be correctable to 20/20, and manual dexterity is required for operating office and lab equipment.

The role is performed in a clinical office and Mohs lab environment with potential exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, hazardous waste, bodily fluids, and other waste common to a health‑care setting. Irregular hours may be required.

Estimated hourly pay range: $17.53–$24.10. Final offers are based on skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job‑related criteria.
