Registered Dietitian
The registered dietitian provides medical nutrition therapy to ambulatory patients individually or in a group setting. The registered dietitian provides a nutrition assessment, determines and implements a nutrition care plan and intervention. Develops and implements nutrition education programs for the general public, community organizations and for medical and clinic staff.

Licenses/Certifications
Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist
- Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) - And
Registered Dietitian (RD) - Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist preferred -
Achieve and maintain qualifications for level as outlined in the ladder pay practice.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions
Provide nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy integrated with the patient's medical goals. Identify and provide age specific nutrition counseling to meet the cultural needs of the patients and their families
Evaluate, interpret, monitor and document the nutritional status and nutritional needs of patients using established standards of care and practice guidelines.
Develop, review, update and implement educational materials to meet the needs of patients and professionals
Department Specific Job Function
Completes clinical and educational assessment on all patients.
Develops individualized teaching plans for self-management (Diet, Medication, Self-care)
Implements evidence based clinical practice guidelines for all area of nutrition education
Provides education to all patients utilizing insulin pump.
Collaborates will all members of the health care team
Compensation and Benefits The compensation range for this position is $27.41per hour - $45.77per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
