Salary: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour, plus mileage reimbursement

Trilab Health is seeking a flexible and skilled Phlebotomist to work on in a healthcare facility Champaign , IL. This role involves performing blood draws and other lab-related procedures, ensuring accurate specimen collection and handling. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently, and a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care. Familiarity with safety protocols and handling hazardous materials is essential.

• Perform blood draws and other laboratory procedures in a professional and courteous manner.
• Verify patient identities and ensure accurate record-keeping for all procedures.
• Educate patients on the collection process, including specimen handling and storage.
• Accurately label and prepare specimens for transport, ensuring their integrity.
• Communicate effectively with lab staff, management, and healthcare professionals.
• Adhere to safety protocols and comply with OSHA, HIPAA regulations, and laboratory policies.
• Participate in ongoing training to maintain and update phlebotomy and lab procedure skills.

• Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Completion of a phlebotomy program or certification as a phlebotomist.
• At least one year of experience in phlebotomy within a clinical setting.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Knowledgeable in safety protocols for handling hazardous materials.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.

• Ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
• Manual dexterity needed for blood draws and lab procedures.
• Visual acuity to read labels, forms, and documents.
• Capability to work in environments with potential exposure to infectious diseases and hazardous materials.

• Phlebotomy: 1 year (Required)

• Phlebotomy Certification (Preferred)
